In larger firms, the internal recruiting may be outsourced to staffing firms or executive recruiting firms. Executive recruitment firms are hired to locate full time employees while staffing firms are typically used to hire temporary employees. Executive recruiters charge a substantial portion of the candidate’s guaranteed salary and typically perform behavior based interviewing techniques in order to provide the most highly qualified candidates possible. These recruiters search for elite individuals to be placed within a company to fit the position and the company culture. Recruiters are outsourced for top tier positions in which the human resource manager may be too busy or without the resources to fill.
The human resource industry is rapidly growing to be heavily processed online and for small companies the HR duties can be outsourced to external HR firms. Duties such as payroll can now be outsourced and allows the job of the human resource professional to be more focused on duties directly within the company. Online human resource groups make information available 24-7 and representatives are available to answer questions that human resource managers may have due to the extensive amount of laws and details necessary to maintain and run a business. As the Baby Boomer generation retires from the workforce leaving many job openings available, HR individuals and executive recruiters will have a large amount of positions to fill within thriving companies. No matter what the financial state of the company, human resource positions are important because HR individuals are necessary to keep the company running, and while the rest of the world is loosing their job, HR professionals are needed to screen the massive amounts of resumes that will flood companies and hire the most qualified individuals. Human resource individuals are able to bring in the top candidates for the position that will bring in the most revenue for the company. The impact of the human resource manager is crucial for the overall success of the company.
The industry of human resources is expected to prosper throughout the upcoming years, especially in the health care, recruiting, and consulting divisions of human resources.
