Our Client

– A high-end international import home décor manufacturer — had a need for a Sales Executive Recruitment effort for a qualified and successful International Import Sales Executive with excellent sales skills and experience working with big box retail stores and their international imports. This person needed to have a progressive and successful track record of working in the industry, and have experience traveling to the orient to meet with clients and finalize the business.
 

Challenge:

This particular niche search was very challenging as we had a specific candidate that we were looking for. Traditional sales roles do not encompass all of the different aspects this position does. Their request was that Reaction Search International locate, source, attract, and hire these qualified individuals within a very tight timeline (6 weeks). This person also had to be willing to spend up to 2 to 3 months a year in the orient (generally 1 month at a time). In addition to that, the qualified candidate had to have worked in a similar type role, working with and selling to retailers in the U.S. but closing business in the orient.
 

Action:

With an in-depth analysis of our client’s needs, and a lengthy discussion regarding the client’s culture, and vision for this expansion, our Executive Recruiting Team worked to ascertain the critical competencies of the position and personality traits of hiring managers and partners to build an accurate and detailed profile of the ideal candidate.

This process generated ample candidates with the select criteria to help our client to hire, train and develop these top individuals to mesh seamlessly with their company culture.

With in the six week time period, we provided a qualified candidate that met the criteria, meshed with our client’s culture and was interested in the opportunity. This resulted in the hiring, training, and development of this professional. Our client also is still currently speaking with another candidate we presented (for the same search) to hire as their company continues to rapidly grow. This mutually-beneficial relationship helped facilitate the growing collaboration, trust, and understanding between RSI and our client.
