Laurens County residents and leaders celebrated the announcement on Thursday of 900 new jobs and a $350 million investment into the county by ZF Group of Friedrichshafen, Germany. In a joint announcement by ZF Group’s management and South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, the company said it would bring a manufacturing facility to Owings Industrial Park (OIP) Phase One, located just off I-385 and construction would begin in January 2012.
